Raising Stress Management to a Whole New Level:
How is stress negatively impacting your life? At the Malter Institute, we offer 35+ years of innovative solutions related to stress management. Our approach is like a 3-legged stool.
We start with an advanced nutritional approach based on your hair tissue mineral analysis, HTMA. This unique laboratory test reflects how minerals relate to your stress reaction. We can combine with a thermography report to obtain an ever deeper analysis.
Next, we take a healing mental approach based on the concept of the “Judge” or “inner tyrant”. The “Judge” is related to everyone’s stress response; the “fight or flight” response that causes anger and anxiety, blocking us from our dreams and personal success. Our life coaching services can help you understand your own inner tyrant!
Finally, we combine the benefits of yoga and meditation. Rosalie teaches yoga at the gentle/therapeutic level of exercise and relaxation for body, mind and spirit. The meditation calms the inner chatter.
When all 3 legs are active and balanced, we’ve seen our countless clients make rapid progress towards their goals.
Stress, Inflammation & Health Problems
Prolonged and intense stress eventually leads to the onset of disease and other health problems. This is most likely due to inflammation that occurs with prolonged stress. Being able to assess a person’s stress condition can be especially helpful in detecting this health factor if it can lead to a reduction in stress and inflammation. There are two ways to assess stress and inflammation that reflect an increased risk of disease: Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) and Thermography.
HTMA
A hair tissue mineral analysis (HTMA) reflects a person’s stress status by the general mineral pattern that it shows, especially the relationship between sodium (Na) and potassium (K). The more the sodium level exceeds the potassium level as shown in a high ratio of sodium/potassium (Na/K), the more intense is the stress reaction that the person is experiencing. A high Na/K stress ration in a HTMA also reflects an inflammation condition. However, such a high Na/K ratio reflecting an inflammation condition is a general factor. The high Na/K stress/inflammation ratio does not localize where in a person’s body the inflammation is located.
Thermal Imaging
The localization of where inflammation is in the person’s body can be assessed by doing a thermogram. The thermogram results in a picture of different body temperatures in different parts of the body. Warmer temperatures of inflammation are reflected in red in contrast to less inflamed cooler temperatures. Thus, the color contrast in a thermogram localizes areas of the body where inflammation is most intense.
Comprehensive Picture for Nutritional Supplementation
Thus, the combination of a HTMA with a thermogram provides a comprehensive picture of risk for disease and health problems. The magnitude of the Na/K stress ratio in a HTMA reflects the presence of a serious stress condition associated with inflammation. A thermogram localizes the areas of inflammation in the body.
Using the HTMA mineral pattern as a guide, anti-stress vitamins and minerals can be given to the person to reduce a high Na/K stress ratio. This will reduce a person’s stress condition and tendency to develop inflammation.
Re-tests of the HTMA and thermogram allow us to monitor the effectiveness of a supplement program designed to reduce the intensity of stress and inflammation.
